Sarah.Liao Art & Design Portfolio
My Work Showcase
My name is Sarah Liao, a designer learning in Goldsmiths’BA Design. I believe that good design is a process of continuous innovation and overcoming deficiencies, which includes the combination of Humanities, Environment, Society, Psychology, Education, Economy, and other aspects of knowledge. To achieve this, I have tried various fields of design.
Visual design and crafts are my specialties. After nearly eight years of fine art painting, I created unique colour schemes and adapted experienced hand-drawing skills. Through the operation of various websites and poster design, I am proficient in using design software such as Photoshop, AI, and C4D to reflect multi-dimensional works to make posters and books. Participating interior design internship and leading ceramic handmade workshops helps the communication and cooperation. The sense of space and traditional craftsmanship have become new fields of exploration that I am gradually maturing.
As a designer, I want to help further the use of graphic design within the retail sector through design that is unequivocally functional, aesthetically pleasing and environmentally responsible. As a college student, I hope to try some new breakthroughs based on the design ideas I have mastered and experienced in Europe and China.

"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up."

365 Days Project
This project focuses on Graphic Design.
To get familiar with the use of Photoshop, AI, C4D and other software, I designed this project to create a poster every day in 365 days. The content of each sign can be random; the purpose is to make myself constantly break through the use of technology and try new fields and possibilities of design.
Product & Creative Design
3D Model building
I just started to learn 3d modelling in 2021 by myself. Now I can use some essential functions of C4D, 3DMAX and Rhino for software design; some of my works are printed through 3D ceramics and plastics printing machines.
Ceramics
I am interested in ceramic making in 2022 and has developed it into my hobby. I have participated in 2 art fairs in the UK and have exhibited my works overseas on various platforms
